Chauffeur Software Updates – August 2026

Another month, another set of small, practical improvements to the CDS platform. As always, our focus is on the details that make daily operations that little bit smoother, whether you are managing drivers, pricing internationally, or configuring your booking widget across multiple clients. Here is what has been added this month.

Driver App: MOT Document

Drivers can now upload their MOT certificate as a document type within the Driver App. We recognise MOT is a UK-specific term, but the field works just as well for any vehicle compliance documentation, wherever you are based. One more way to keep your compliance records complete and easy to find.

Driver App Version

To get the best out of the CDS Chauffeur app, it helps if your drivers are running the latest version. The Driver App screen in Settings now shows version details for each driver, so you can see at a glance who is up to date and who could do with a nudge.

It is worth checking this one regularly. A few drivers are still using much older versions of the app, which can affect tracking, notifications and job visibility. A quick look in Settings makes it easy to spot who needs to update.

Currencies

For operators pricing internationally, the Exchange Rates screen has been updated so you can add and remove currencies yourself, without needing to contact support. One less step when you are setting up in a new market.

Copy Widget Settings

Copying widget settings from another client is a popular way to save time and keep future changes centralised. Keeping track of which clients are copying from which can get confusing as your client list grows, so we have added a button that displays a diagram of all your clients and how their widget settings are linked, giving you the full picture at a glance.

Bulk Allocate Vehicles

You can now bulk allocate vehicles from the Diary, in the same way you already can with drivers. It makes allocating and dispatching a busy day considerably quicker.

A few other things you may be interested in:

• Filter the Diary by unassigned jobs using 'not set' in the driver code search bar
• Client portal now displays drivers correctly when using CDS Connect
• Notifications on CDS Home when your drivers update availability via the Driver App
• Checklist response notifications now include a clickable link, so you can go straight to the report from CDS Home
• Resolved an issue affecting 'Updated Hire' notifications and SMS messages in certain circumstances
• New Diary config options: Hide Driver Availability and Show Open Quotes Only
